A Newbarns & Omnipollo pastry stout collab, think black forest gateaux in sauce form.
They wanted to brew a luscious, thick stout based equally on Omnipollo’s Wonka-esque pastry concoctions and Newbarns Plain Dark Beer. Which produced Complicated Dark Beer, a “zero-adjunct pastry stout” with grown up, all malt confectionery flavours of chocolate, coffee, some licorice and rich fruits.
